Windowsのセキュリティ対策機能であるMarkoftheWeb（MOTW）は、疑わしい場所から取得されたMicrosoftOfficeのWord、Excel、PowerPointなどのファイルやZipファイルを開く際に、警告を表示する機能を持っています。その結果、インターネットからダウンロードしたファイル内のマクロは、保護ビューを用いて初期設定でブロックされる。これにより、Web上から来る危険を事前に防ぐことができるようになっています。
