マルバタイズメントとは

マルバタイズメントは、「マルウェア」（有害なソフトウェア）と「広告」を組み合わせた言葉で、ウイルス感染を引き起こす邪悪な広告を指します。このような手法を利用する行為はマルバタイジングとも称されます。
タイポスクワッティング（間違ったドメイン）を使用して偽のウェブサイトを作成し、それをGoogleなどの検索エンジンの広告に表示させることで、ユーザーをだまし、マルウェアをダウンロードさせる手口が頻繁に見られます。
