クリアリングとは

クリアリングは、サニタイゼーション手法の一つで、通常のやり方では実行できないデータ消去技術のことをさします。具体的には、「0」や乱数を既存データへ上書きすることで実行され、これにより標準的なファイルやディスクの復旧機能は無いものとなります。
また、NISTSP800-88の「メディア・サニタイゼーションガイドライン」では、クリアリングを含む4つの消去手法が提案されています。それらは、廃棄、クリアリング、パージング、そして破壊です。
