「赤い板」とは、その表面の質感がわずかに赤色に映る板のことを指します。この赤い板は、電炉の製品でも高炉の製品でも、製造会社によっては青い板と比べての特徴とされることがあります。わかりやすく言えば「錆びている」と思われるかもしれませんが、品質には一切問題なく、性能上の違いはありません。ただし、使用目的によってはその見た目が気に入られず「赤い板の使用は避けてほしい」という特別なリクエストが稀に注文時に行われることがあります。
