「トロイの木馬（Trojanhorse, Trojan）」とは、きわめて狡猾な種類のマルウェアで、見かけは正常なソフトウェアやファイルにうまく変装しており、何らかのきっかけで悪意ある攻撃を仕掛けるプログラムのことを指します。その名前は、ギリシア神話のトロイア戦争のエピソード（木馬に隠れた兵士たちが敵の隙間を突いて攻撃するという事象）に由来しています。この悪質なマルウェアは古くから存在しますが、その巧妙性は日々進化を遂げ、”バックドア型”や”ダウンローダ型”といった、感染経路によるいくつものタイプが確認されています。
