発注点手法とは、在庫管理の手法の一つで、定量発注法とも呼ばれます。これを用いて管理されるアイテムを発注点アイテムまたはOP品目と称します。OPはOrder Pointの略です。発注点手法の特性から考えて、需要が安定し、比較的に安価なアイテム、つまりB品目やC品目、そして独立した需要アイテムに多く適応されています。
