「ピンホール」とは、鋼材が製造される過程で発生する、針の先端くらいの微細な内部空間を指します。その領域の直径が約1㎜程度であっても、依然として「ピンホール」の名で呼ばれています。特にSS400の鋼材に関しては、内部品質に対する保証は一切ございませんので、製造元へのクレームとしても受け入れられることは少ないと言えます。
