「プレーナー」とは、こぎり状の切削工具である「バイト」を、加工対象物に直線的に進行させて切り削る機械のことを指します。旋回するタイプの切削工具と比較して、加工後に発生する変形、歪みや反りを著しく低減できるのが大きな特徴となります。
