海外取引の際に使用される貨物の包装明細表です。これは梱包単位の貨物と重量の詳細を記載したもので、通常は「インボイス（商業送り状）」と「シッピングインストラクション（船積み頼み書）」とともに3部構成で輸出者によって作成されます。これは輸出や輸入時の税関処理など、様々な状況で重要な文書となります。また、海上輸送費の算出の基礎となる文書でもあります。

記載する項目としては、
①輸出者の名前と住所、
②輸入者の名前と住所、
③出航予定日、船名、船積港、荷揚げ港、数量、正味重量（ネットウェイト）、総重量（グロスウェイト）、貿易条件、シッピングマーク、および貨物の名前等があります。
英語版ではその文書は「Packing List」と呼ばれています。’
