ファイルヴォールト（FileVault）は、マック上で動作するデータ暗号化ツールです。その最新バージョンは2024年のもので、ディスク全体をAES（XTS-AES128）を用いて暗号化することで、盗難や紛失の際のデータ流出の危険性からユーザーのマシンを防衛します。ファイルヴォールトが有効化された状況では、ハードディスクを抜き取ったところで、パスワードを知らずにはファイルへのアクセスは不可能になります。
ファイルヴォールトは、マネージャーアカウントでのみ活性化することができます。
