米国財務省の外国資産管理室、通称OFACは、特定の国々や個体の取引に対する一連の規制条項を制定しています。これらOFACの規則は、イラン、キューバ、北朝鮮等、特定の国々や、米国政府が指名するテロリスト、麻薬取引を行う者等とのドルによる取引を禁じています。過去にはEvilCorpを含む多くのサイバー犯罪団体や危険な行動主体が、このOFACによる制裁の対象となっています。
