SPF（センダー・ポリシー・フレームワーク）は、スパムやフィッシング、なりすましといったメール犯罪に対抗するために開発された制度で、ドメインがメールの送信に使えるホストやIPアドレスをSPFレコードに明確に登録します。このレコードを受信側が調査することで、申し送られたメールが本物であるかを判別します。例えば、不正な第三者があるドメインを使用してメールを送った場合、そのドメインのSPFレコードには該当者のホスト情報がないため、偽物として見抜くことができます。
