「PAN（Personal Area Network）の一種で、無線技術を駆使したもの。60GHzのミリ波を使用し、それに伴う無線免許は不要という特性を持つ無線伝送の規格が、現在開発進行中である。その開発を手掛けているのは、標準化を目指しているIEEE802.15.3cWGチームで、ハイビジョン映像を圧縮せずに伝送するという実用化の試みも存在する。」
