「プルーフ・オブ・バリュー（ProofofValue）」とは、その言葉が示す通り「価値の証明」を指します。実行可能であることは理解できているけれども、その実際の価値を評価しきれないケースにおいて、その価値を事前に測定するための確認作業を指します。具体的に言えば、実現可能性に焦点を当てるのではなく、生まれる価値を明確にするための検証フローです。近似した用語・PoCとして使用される場合は、新規のアイデアに対する実現可能性や効果を確かめるための検証を意味します。
