偏芯という用語は、2つの意味があります。
1.穴が製品の中心からずれていたり、外径と内径の中心が一致せずに位置振れが起きているときの製品形状を指します。これは製図を行う際のエラーなので、きちんと注意を払うことが求められます。
2.次に、溶断を行った時に外径（外形）と穴のセンターが一致しない状況を言います。これは完全に防ぐことは難しく、ある程度は許容されます。しかし、幅が狭いリングなど、偏芯の度合いが大きくなりそうな場合には、前もって顧客と打ち合わせを行う必要があります。’
