「ユーザー空間（UserSpace）」はアプリケーションが稼働する際に、データとプロセスが生成されるメモリエリアの一部を指します。Windows、LinuxといったOSでは、仮想メモリ範囲はアプリケーション用のユーザー空間と、カーネル用のカーネル空間に分割されています。ユーザー空間で生成されたプロセスは、カーネル空間、すなわちOSの基本的機能やデバイスドライバへの直接的なアクセスが制限されています。これにより、プログラムやマルウェアはAPI等を活用し、システムコールを発行してカーネル空間にアクセスする必要があります。
