Ryukは2018年よりその存在が確認されている危険なランサムウェアです。このマルウェアは、フィッシング攻撃やEmotet、Trickbotといった他のウィルスを介して企業を狙い撃ちし、重要なファイルを暗号化して逮捕、誘拐の手段として利用します。Ryukは特に、身代金を支払う可能性の高い医療施設などを狙っており、その犯罪行為はロシアから指示されています。マルウェアの追跡分析結果から、このマルウェアの開発者はContiランサムウェアの運用者と同一である可能性が示唆されています。
