ワークアウトとは

「ワークアウト」とは、ジャック・ウェルチ元会長がゼネラル・エレクトリック（GE）社で1980年代末に導入した、組織改革と問題解決の手法を指します。この理念の中身は、余計な労働（work）を削ぎ落とす（out）という行為から来ており、このメソッドは現在でも様々な組織における重要な改革を推進する上で不可欠なツールとして広く活用されています。
GEがワークアウトを制度化した当時、アメリカではダウンサイジングという名の下での企業の効率化が進んでおりました。
