次世代データセンターとは

次世代型のデータセンターは、通信速度が400Gb/s以上に達し、さらにカーボンニュートラルを実現したデータセンターを指しています。このデータセンターの市場は毎年約9.6%のペースで世界中で成長を続けています。しかし、その中でも日本のデータセンターの数はアメリカの2,653と比べると199しかなく、10%にも満たないのが現実です。その原因は、他国と比べて日本人のインターネット使用時間が短すぎることや、企業のIT関連の投資が遅れているなど、データの使用量が他国と比べて少ないためであると言えます。一方で、最近のデータセンターはカーボンニュートラルを実現するために、PUE（電力使用効率）に重きを置いています。’
