ユーザー独自のロジックを標準機能に組み込むため、プログラム内に用意された専用の出入り口を指します。この機能は、SAPの基本機能を拡張する際に利用されます。その特性上、直接的なプログラムの変更を伴うモディフィケーションとは区別され、SAPの標準オブジェクトとは別に管理されるため、ソフトウェアのアップグレードによる影響を受けません。
EXITは、ユーザーEXITやカスタマEXITなど、いくつかの種類が存在します。
