「ハードコーディング（HardCoding）」とは、プログラムのソースコードに直接データを埋め込む行為を指すものです。データの取り扱い方法としては、直接記述する場合のほか、外部ソースから参照する、または実行時に生成するといった手段が選択可能です。ハードコーディング（HardCoded）は一般的に、更新されない定数に対して行われます。ところが、パスワードや暗号鍵、資格情報といった、原則としてハードコーディングすべきでない情報を直接記述してしまうと、セキュリティリスクとなります。
