「ある企業が株式取引市場に適していないと見なされたり、もしくは企業自身が市場からの撤退を望んだ場合に、その企業の株式が取引市場での売買対象から外される現象を指します。これは、通常「上場廃止」と呼ばれます。上場廃止が行われる際には、株主や投資家にその事実を通知するため、一定期間、管理ポストや整理ポストで該当銘柄の売買が認められます。」
