企業集団とは、多数の企業が持株会社（親会社）をリーダーとして一体化した組織のことです。これらの企業は、親会社との資本的または本質的な関連性を有しています。企業集団は大きく「親会社」「子会社」「関連会社」の三つに細分化されます。親会社は議決権の過半数を保有し、他の会社を統制する企業を指します。一方、子会社は他の会社によって支配される企業であり、関連会社は自社の財務または業務の戦略決定に大きな影響を受ける企業を指します。
