“境界外書き込み（Out-of-Bounds Write）とは、指定されたバッファ範囲を超過してデータを入力することによるメモリの脆弱性を指します。この現象が発生すると、データの損失やシステムのクラッシュ、または悪意あるコードの実行など不正な動作を引き起こす可能性が存在します。

Mitre社によると、2023年6月現在において、境界外書き込みは最も危険性の高い脆弱性とされています。また、CISAによる管理下で確認されている「悪用可能な脆弱性」の中で、70件がこの脆弱性から生じているとの報告があります。”
