UXとは、User Experienceの略で、製品やサービスを通じて得られるユーザーの経験を表しています。「この商品は操作性が高い」「このサービスは理解し難い」といったユーザーの感じること全てが、UXと称されます。
UXはウェブサイトからスマートフォン向けアプリまで、様々な製品・サービス全体においてその向上が望まれています。ただ単に機能性が高いとか、価格がリーズナブルといった差別化の要素だけでなく、消費者はもっと高い満足度を求めています。近年では、その使い易さや印象、それに感動さえも含めた体験が重要視されています。
