鉄粉とは

鉄粉とは、細かく砕かれた鉄の粉末のことを指します。溶断作業の際に飛び散る火花や鉄スケールも厳密に言うと酸化鉄の粉末であり、これもまた鉄粉と一般に称されます。ガス溶断による鉄粉はレーザーやプラズマ切断に比べて粒子が大きめであるため、呼吸器への影響は少ないですが、持続的な注意が求められます。それは、工場の中に舞い散った鉄粉が目に入る、足元に積もった鉄粉で滑って転ぶといった可能性があるからです。さらに、鉄粉は工業製品としても提供されており、さまざまな用途に利用されています。
