UEBAは「User and Entity Behavior Analytics」の頭文字を取ったもので、これはユーザーやエンティティ（ITシステムやその他のデバイス）の行動パターンを分析することで、未発見の脅威や攻撃の早期発見に役立ちます。たとえば、特定のユーザーが従来と全く異なるデータに接触したり、あるいは短時間に地球の反対側からのアクセスを行った場合、そのような異常を即座に特定し警告できます。UEBAは、この過程で機械学習やビッグデータ分析のような先進技術を駆使しています。
