リバースシェル（ReverseShell）とは、ハッキングされたシステムから攻撃者に通信接続を行う、特殊なシェルを使用した通信手段を指します。一般的に、リモートのパソコンへ接続しようとする場合、ユーザーは目的のサーバなどへの接続を行いますが、リバースシェルの状況下では、その逆が行われます。つまり、攻撃者はすでに侵入したパソコンから、攻撃者自身または攻撃者が管理するC2 サーバなどへ通信要求を出します。リバースシェルは、侵入先のパソコンから通信を開始することで、ネットワークの壁やファイアウォールの保護を避けることが可能であり、そのため、攻撃者によってしばしば乱用される手法となっています。
