携帯電話の第3世代標準について。国際電気通信連合（ITU）は21世紀初頭からこのデジタル通信標準の実装に向けて規格の策定を進めてきました。2GHz帯を使用することで、最高2Mビット／秒という高速なデータ転送速度を達成しています。この標準はW-CDMA方式とcdma2000方式の二つが存在します。
