AnyDeskは、ドイツに拠点を置くAnyDesk社が提供する、遠隔でのPCやデバイスへのアクセスを可能にするリモートデスクトップアプリケーションです。しかし、マルウェアやランサムウェアのようなサイバー攻撃を行う人々によって悪用されるケースがあり、AnyDeskの意図しない動作を検出することが必須となっています。2023年の1月には、サポートデスクのフィッシング詐欺が増加し、ユーザーがRMMツールをダウンロードさせられ、そこからオンラインバンキングに不正アクセスされ金が盗まれる事件が増えているとして、米国のサイバーセキュリティとインフラセキュリティ機関（CISA）と連邦捜査局（FBI）から警告が出されました。
