利益センタとは

利益を創出する組織構成部門を指し、それが企業内のどの場所であるかを把握するためにSAP（システム・アプリケーション・プロダクト）で使われる組織単位である。これはコスト管理を行うための最小概念であり、これ以上に細分化できないグループに利益センタを設定するという基本的な考え方に基づいている。その企業がどのレベルまで細かく分析したいかによって、利益センタの設定は変化する。例えば、各「課」の採算性評価を求めている場合、利益センタは「課」レベルで設定されるだろう。「部」レベルの分析が適切であると判断するならば、「部」レベルで設定される。この単位は、その会社の損益分析の精度に影響する。これらはコストセンタとは逆の概念である。
