「繰り返し」と「反復」、これらは「イテレーション」という言葉の定義であり、ITやシステムの領域では、アジャイル開発の開発サイクルの基本単位を指します。これは、一連の工程を数回にわたって短い期間で実行し、その過程で完成度を順次向上させていくという戦略を採用しています。イテレーションは、開発サイクルの各段階で行われ、そのタームは通常1~4週間となります。それぞれのイテレーションにおいて、新たな機能がリリースされます。スプリントという概念ともほぼ同じ意味を持ちます。
