Common Log Format（一般的なログ形式）は、Webサーバのアクティビティを記録するための標準的な形式です。このテキストベースのフォーマットは、他のログデータとの照合や分析作業に適しています。Common Log Formatでは、一つのリクエストごとに一行を使い、ホストのIPアドレス、ユーザーID、リクエストの日付、リクエスト内容、転送サイズを特定の様式で記録します。Apache HTTP Serverという世界シェアの多いサーバーシステムでは、このCommon Log Formatだけでなく、Combined Log Formatもサポートされています。
