ワークサンプリングというのは、各種作業、例えば倉庫業務などの一部分にどれだけの時間や労力が必要かを何度もスナップショット的に観察し、その作業の動きや特性を数量的に掴む分析手法の一つで、「瞬間観測法」とも称されます。
稼働分析手法には他に、「連続観測法」も存在します。こちらは名前の通り、一日中特定の工程を見つめ続けてデータを取る方法を指します。
このようなワークサンプリングは、特に物流業界でよく活用され、労働力の効率性を高めるために利用されています。
